Perhaps the most famous premonitions are those of Michel de Nostradamus – the reputed seer that we still speak of around the world today. Nostradamus discovered his special gifts at an early age and began to predict birth dates and the sex of unborn children. He was also summoned by Catherine de Medici (King Henry II’s queen) to read astrological charts as an unofficial court advisor. Nostradamus foresaw World War II, JFK’s assassination, and the fall of communism. Nostradamus also gave the date of the French revolution as 1789 and correctly predicted the execution of the King and Queen. He predicted World War I, prophesying cruelty and terror by land, in the sea and air.  Nostradamus was puzzled by visions of airplanes describing them as “a flock of ravens high in the air, and throwing fire from the sky on the cities and on the soldiers below.” He named the King of Bulgaria “fair haired Ferdinand”, foresaw the collapse of the Turkish Empire, the independence of Hungary, Bohemia and Poland as well as the enlargement of Romania and the creation of Yugoslavia.  Nostradamus’ book “The Prophecies” was first published in 1555. Apart from the bible, it is the only prophetic work to remain in print since the 16th century.

A well-known Australian medium, Mrs. Foster Turner also predicted World War I in front of an audience of 1,000 people:

“Now, although there is not at present a whisper of a great European war at hand, yet I want to warn you that before this year, 1914, has run its course, Europe will be deluged in blood. Great Britain, our beloved nation, will be drawn into the most awful war the world has ever known. Germany will be the great antagonist, and will draw other nations in her train. Austria will totter to its ruins. Kings and kingdoms will fall. Millions of precious lives will be slaughtered, but Britain will finally triumph and emerge victorious.”

In Major W Tudor Pole’s Private Dowding, the following communication from the beyond was published: “So far as I am allowed to see, peace will be reestablished during 1919, and world-federations will come into being during the following seven years. Although actual fighting may end in 1918, it will take many years to bring poise and peace into actual and permanent being.” All of these predictions came true.

Some people experience precognitive dreams – lucid visions of what will come to pass in time. Carl Jung asserted that we miss out on a huge part of our psyche’s potential if we ignore our dreams. When I awake at 4.27 am, remembering a dream, it is always a precognitive warning of something that is going to happen. But, how is it that we may see the future when dreaming? Scientists have proven that, during the dream state, we utilize the parts of the brain that sense rather than analyze. This concept is similar to psychics simply trusting their impressions as they suspend the rational, analytical mind.

Ask your guides to give you useful precognitive insight in you sleep state – they won’t let you down.

Many great minds have been fascinated by the mysterious depth and magical accuracy of astrology.  Sir Isaac Newton (perhaps one the of the greatest intellects to have graced our planet) once had the following exchange with Edmund Halley:

Edmund Halley: “Why do you believe in Astrology?”

Sir Isaac Newton: “I have studied the subject, Mr. Halley. You have not!”

Benjamin Franklin, Carl Jung, and Galileo also believed in astrology. It is the world’s oldest science as reflected by this quote from Joanne Martine Woolfolk: “The Study of the Sun, the Moon, stars, eclipses, day and night, began well before recorded history.  There are reindeer bones and tusks of mammoths from the Ice Age that have notches carved on them picturing the phases of the Moon.  These bones and tusks are dated between 25,000 and 10,000 B.C., and some scientists place them as long ago as 32,000 B.C.!”

I have found astrology to be an extremely comprehensive tool for understanding the human psyche as well as the manner in which our universe operates. I believe that our universe is one great organism and that we are each part of the whole. At the time of birth, when we inspire (drawing the spiritual being into the physical vessel), the solar system perfectly depicts the uniqueness of our paths and opportunities in life.

When Whitney Houston sadly passed to spirit on the 11th February, I was intrigued to explore her astrology to understand how the planets and asteroids were aligned in her chart at that tragic moment.  There is actually an asteroid named Whitney – at 3 degrees Aries, it was conjoined Venus which is the planet ruling song. It was also conjunct (unconsciously merged with) the planet Uranus at 2 degrees.  Uranus is often symbolic of sudden disruptions, accidents or shocks. Asteroid Whitney was squared Pluto (modern ruler of death amongst other things) in her chart at 8 degrees Capricorn also forming a sesquiquadrate (a smaller square) with her sun (her essence) in Leo. Squares are challenging aspects.

Whitney’s natal Mars (drive, activity, energy) in Libra was also squared by Pluto. The transiting asteroid Bacchus conjoined Pluto at 2 degrees Capricorn. Bacchus often indicates the use of alcohol or drugs (probably pharmaceutical).  Bacchus was also conjunct transit asteroid Ophelia, named after a character from Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” who accidentally drowns herself in a stream.  At 14 degrees Aquarius, asteroid Houston conjoined her natal Atropos (named after the Greek Fate who severs the thread of life at death) in Aquarius and transit Panacea (ruling pharmaceuticals) at 9 degrees Aquarius creating an ominous T-Square with her natal Neptune (drugs, alcohol, addiction) in Scorpio and natal Venus/Sun conjunct in Leo.

Whitney’s Houston’s astrology actually reveals far more detail about the alignments at her time of death, but my point here is to highlight the level of insight that we can glean from astrology rather than to report on Whitney’s tragic passing.  Why is this important? Because so many of us live life unaware of the incredible information provided by the Universe for our self-actualization, not to mention guidance towards good choices and the avoidance of tragedy.

If you haven’t yet explored the vast amount of information provided by your natal chart and astrological transits, I highly recommend it.  Living without this knowledge is like living on a ship without a rudder.

Whitney Houston is a wonderful reminder that we are born into this world with wonderful talents and opportunities to make the world a better place.  Nobody will forget Whitney Houston’s great talent, but are you clear about yours?

For those of you who have not experimented with automatic writing, I encourage you to do so.   This is the process of producing material that originates from the spirit world rather than our individual consciousness. It is a great way to access and download poetry, music, philosophy, and all manner of beauty from spirit. Here is an example of automatic writing that I channeled at 10 years of age.

Just as sure as daylight breaks and dusk falls, the seasons change. They are cyclical, representing a constant and assured progression towards renewal and rebirth – an unquestioning and reassuring routine that governs all.

Many do not question the linkage of natural order with all else in their lives; just as some do not appreciate the connection between their behaviour and their fortune.  Yet they are all connected – all is intrinsically linked and synchronised in an extensive and complex, but beautiful web of detail and activity.  The bird singing is a manifestation of a unique and intrinsic code that governs its tune.  Similarly, the birth of a child is a programmed progression towards growth, development of mind, body, and spirit whilst also an emblem of opportunity and excitement.

As the leaves fall and the wind blows, nature retreats to make way for hibernation and replenishment.  Yet, winter will always pass, and spring will break through enabling the growth of fresh flowers and new seasonal fruits.  Similarly, a soul departs to a higher plain and a child is born – its first cries a portent of Spirit’s great program of change and advancement.

Those who accept Spirit’s great and omnipotent program live in peace and harmony with their surroundings and circumstances.  They accept that certain elements are irrepressible; they strive forward, developing and changing just as the ocean fluctuates. Just as the trees and animals adapt to the change of season, all creatures should accept and enjoy Spirit’s great plan, trusting its virtues and synchronicity.

The Pineal gland is a pea-sized gland shaped like a pine cone situated near the center of the brain.  It is known as the “third eye”, the “seat of the soul” or the gateway between the physical and spiritual worlds.  It is considered to be the highest source of ethereal energy available to humans as well as the portal to our supernatural powers. Activating the pineal gland stimulates the evolution of higher states of consciousness. Our planet’s vibration is increasing exponentially – this incredible acceleration facilitates our access to other realms and greater possibilities.

Our physical eyes look outwards transmitting their observations to the brain, whereas the third eye is a communication pathway to higher realms. It is bioluminescent and sensitive to light with a built in transmitter that connects the physical and spiritual worlds. Awakening the pineal gland enables us to see beyond space and time and access a higher state of consciousness. It also speeds up learning; increases memory; enhances intuition; improves wisdom and creativity; and triggers psychic ability. It forms at 49 days of a human embryo’s gestation – the time that the Tibetan’s claim it takes for a soul to reincarnate from one lifetime to the next…

The pineal gland interacts with a hallucinogenic chemical known as DMT. It is possible that the interaction of these two components forms the seat of consciousness and even the gateway through which we enter and leave physical life. DMT is released under extraordinary states of stress such as the time of birth and death. Increased DMT also appears to stimulate interaction with other conscious entities. As we continue to evolve away from materialism to spirituality, the pineal gland will continue to wake up and advance our spiritual capabilities.

Yoga, visualization, and meditation are some of the techniques that help to open up the third eye. The pineal gland is often referred to as the atrophied third eye because it is already calcified by the age of 12.  In most adults it is dormant through lack of use. Fluoride is known to damage the third eye so check the contents of your toothpaste and avoid tap water! Limiting processed foods, sugar, and anything containing fluoride will help to revitalize the third eye. Spending time outdoors and connecting with nature also helps.

The glandular system is possibly the most misunderstood function of the human body. There are actually paralells between our seven chakras and our glands – they are potentially two ways of describing the same thing. The ancient egyptians were far more in tune with how the body’s energy systems (chakras) were connected to the glands. Their more holistic understanding of the glands’ significance to consciousness was the result of combining spirituality with science.

In the early  1900s, alchemist Schwaller de Lubitz presented a piece of work called “The Temple of Man” demonstrating that the architects of the Luxor temple used sacred geometry reflecting the exact proportions of the human body.  The most sacred space in all Egyptian temples is located at the back of the temple. Everything seems to be composed of discrete subjects and events. However, when we look a little deeper and pay attention to the Universe, we begin to realize that everything is connected. The spirit world communicates with us constantly and provides all manner of insights when we are listening. A couple of weeks ago, I was teaching the Quantum Self-Discovery workshop. Just as I explained to the group that the spirit world sends us messages through wildlife, a baby Blue Jay arrived at the window and sang its heart out. The room went silent as everybody turned and noticed the synchronistic arrival of this beautiful creature. A couple of moments later, we went online to research the Blue Jay’s message:

Embrace life to the fullest wherever you land and pursue that which you love at all times.

Just a couple of days after this exciting message, I was meeting with my business partner Denise. As we discussed the importance of taking bold steps to realize potential and the possibility of making big leaps forward, we turned and noticed a beautiful, bright green cricket on the carpet of our meeting room. That very evening, there was another cricket on the roof of my car as I left a restaurant. As I approached, he didn’t even move and looked me straight in the eye as though he was determined to catch my attention and convey his message. These are the only two crickets that I have seen in my three years living in the US. When I researched the cricket’s message, I was excited by the synchronicity about moving forward:

Cricket is willing to leap toward new opportunities.
